BACKGROUND

Originally called Mission Beer Hall, what is now known as Wurst is a german-themed restobar from the family who opened ultra-successful Mercato in the same neighbourhood 10 years earlier.

CHALLENGE

Beer hall proliferation throughout the city made it difficult to cut through the noise and stand for something truly unique.

APPROACH & SOLUTION

We started by doing our Wurst. After conceiving the name that embraced german heritage as our first point of difference, we moved on to identity development — a traditional heraldic eagle with a sausage in one talon and a beer stein in the other — to advance the theme. From there, we created a complete brand system, including signage, menus, advertising and a website, along with everything else needed to get the word out.
